Sweet Potato Chili

Simple, delicious, nutrient-dense


Serves Two-Three


The Ingredients

  • 1 white onion, diced

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, cubed

  • 1 16oz jar of chunky salsa *no sugar added

  • 1 15oz can of black beans, slightly drained

  • 2 cups bone broth

  • 1 tbsp olive oil & your favorite seasonings [chili powder, cumin, s + p]

  • Optional toppings: cilantro, shredded cheese, green onions, avocado, tortilla chips

The Instructions

  • In a large pot over medium heat, cook onion in olive oil until onions are translucent. Add the sweet potato + desired seasonings and cook for another 3 minutes.

  • Add all the salsa and bone broth and bring to a boil.

  • Once boiling, switch to medium-low heat and add the black beans.

  • Cover and let simmer for 20-30 minutes [or until sweet potatoes are soft].

  • Dig in! Tastes especially good topped with a little shredded cheese, avocado, and green onions!
